THREE MB CANDIDATES TO HAVE AUDIENCE WITH SULTAN SARAFUDDIN IDRIS SHAH

Sultan Sarafuddin Idris Shah
  • Three Selangor executive councillors from PAS have been invited to have an audience with the state ruler Sultan Sarafuddin Idris Shah pertaining the replacement of the current menteri besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
  • Iskandar Samad will be the first to the palace today, while Salehen Muhyi will have an audience tomorrow and Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi on Wednesday.
  • They were named by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang as his candidates for the menteri besar post in his first letter to the Selangor palace.
  • The appointments with the sultan come a day after PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu and secretary general Datuk Mustafa Ali insisted the party would reject the menteri besar position even if it was offered the post.
  • "We"ll reject it," they told a press conference after chairing a PAS central committee meeting yesterday. However, Hadi did not attend the meeting.
  • Later yesterday evening, the Syura Council met and decided that Hadi has the final say in all matters concerning the party's interests.
  • It is learnt that the sultan will choose the new MB within the three PAS candidates, which will create havoc among PKR and DAP parties.
  • If the new MB to be selected from PAS, the other parties may call for state or nationwide demonstration to reject sultan’s decree.
  • At the same time, international media are waiting to spin this issue to create unhealthy atmosphere and sparks hatred towards the monarchy system who had turned down the democracy practise in Malaysia.
  • This will benefit the local opposition parties to raise public sympathy and votes in the next general election even though they are having a critical crisis at the moment due to PAS refusal to abide its promise to nominate only Dr. Wan Azizah for the menteri besar’s post.
  • PKR and DAP refused to accept any excuses given by the Islamic party for disliking Dr. Wan Azizah to fit for the post even though PAS has stated that al Quran strongly advised that women is not the best leader of a state or country as it would be troublesome in many ways.
  • PKR and DAP have no ground to follow the instruction or advice from al Quran due to the fact that their membership are open to all religions and races.
  • In fact they wanted to takeover Putrajaya to equalise the status races and religions in Malaysia in the name of democracy and multi-racial livings as they believed that the current status of Islam on top of all religions is not an absolute democracy. - Yang Benar.
